Using the RAMP User Guide and Chat Widget with Assistive Technologies

Here are some known accessibility issues when navigating the RAMP User Guide.

We are aware of and apologize for the third-party issues that might affect your experience.
We’re in touch with HubSpot’s accessibility team to improve these processes, but please let us know if you encounter any other barriers or need assistance.
  • Focus and Search Issues Within the Chat Widget

    • Tabbing and down-arrowing will remove you from the chat search area. We recommend using Ctrl-N to navigate to the bottom of the page, which should return your focus back to the chat widget.
    • After entering your search criteria tab two times to get to search results in the list-box. Press enter to open article from the list-box within the chat widget.
    • Once you find and open an article, we recommend opening it in a new tab.
    • If you need to find a new article using the chat widget, you'll need to go to the "back" button using button navigation or shift-tabbing and that will put your focus back into the edit field.
  • User Guide Navigation and Search Issues

    • On the main search page “https://support.accessibleweb.com/docs” when searching, you may need to press down to get to the recommended articles after submitting your question when the search result amount is announced.
    • Breadcrumb navigation is present but not clearly announced as breadcrumbs.
    • When searching using the user guide auto-populates answers so you should not need to tab when searching in the search field.
